AC Problems

I have a 2000 XTerra that will either freeze you out, or not work at all. When it is not working, the compressor does not kick on at all. Last year I replaced the pressure switch, which seemed to have fixed the problem, but now it's doing the same thing. Has anyone else had a similiar problem?

What is the condition of the A/C condensor. The radiator looking device that sits in front of the coolant radiator. If it's fins a plugged up with crap, it needs to be cleaned of obstructions, or else its useless. Being an 00', this might be your 1 of your problems.
