P0158 = 02 sensor circuit high volatage band 2 sensor 2. Does this mean the sensor is bad and needs to be replaced or is there some other problem that would give the sensor high voltage? Also were can I find a copy of NTB01-048A. Will Nissan provide this info or will I have to buy it somewhere?

According to that tsb the rear 02 on that bank requires replace and the ecm needs update, you should take this in to the dealer.

I was just wondering how you made out with the error code P0158 in terms of how you had to deal with it. I've got the same code read from my Pathfinder. Thanks.

I bought a OEM Bosch sensor at thepartsbin.com for $74. and replace it myself and reset the computer. My truck had 50000 miles on it. Can't see why it will not last another 50000. Dealers are a big rip off. They wanted $300. Write your congressman, tell them we want all pertiinent info to repair our own vehicles and not rely on dealers. We are being held hostage by the EPA with their emmison controls and the dealers know it.

Thanks for the reply. I just replaced the VTC (cam sensor) right side on my Pathfinder which was one of the reasons for the SES light. I reset the light and so far so good. It has not come back on so maybe the P0158 was a fluke....or maybe it'll reappear down the road. You're right about the dealers ripping us off. I'm sure for that cam sensor repair they would have hit me over the head for a few hundred bucks and I was able to replace the thing in less then five minutes. I got the sensor for 48 bucks online. The whole emissions thing makes me want to run out and buy a 69 442 W30 with a monster 455.

Driver side.
How's it going? You helped me out before with the info on the P0158 error code. It's come back and I think that I'm going to have to deal with it at some point after which I might just sell this stupid Pathfinder. Could you tell me specifically which O2 sensor I have to buy (where it's located?). I checked with www.thepartsbin.com and they've got several different types. Thanks in advance.

For my 2000 pathfinder with A/T the left rear OS part mumber for a Bosch is 13257. If you go to thepartsbin.com their part number is C5010-65246. Try this link for thepartsbin.

110000 miles and not a problem. Like I said dealers are a big rip off. How else are they going to pay for those Mega dealerships.
