QX4 Dash Lights

I bought a 98 QX4 and Ive noticed some of the dasboard switches do not light up, but im not sure if they are supposed to. The ones that dont light up are:
The 4x4 dial switch
Both heated seat switches
Hazard lights
Rear defroster
Does anyone know how to fix these, or if they are supposed to be lit at all? The rest of the dash is fine.
