Someone plz help!! Just got a 96 2.0 Eclipse A/T Non Turbo and I have come to find out I need a ECU. Does anyone know if I have to get a 96 non turbo a/t ecu or can I cross years and type of eclipses? the dealer wants $700 and the pick-u pull wants $36 but they do not have a 96.
Thanks.
Thanks.

COOL! thanks for the help. Let me throw this one out since I can not find a answer to this one. Maybe I am searching with the wrong words.
One problem with the car is that when I first start it from sitting all night the cooling fans kick off right away before it even heats up, I am getting a big draw on the alternator. At first I thought it was the fans but I pulled connecters and still get the draw. For the first few seconds of startup it shows 14.7 on a meter then drops down to 13.2 and the battery light then comes on. Then you can here the engine load down from the load on the alternator. I have unplugged and tested with the cooling fans, starter, ac, and then I have pulled every fuse from under the dash and under the hood. Still shows 13.2 on the volt meter. (this is a test meter not the one in the car) I got a new battery and new alternator. Also there is no aftermarket radio or amp in the car. Cigarette lighter has been unplugged to. Anyone this could also be the ECU. I am replacing the ecu due to stalling issues. ( and the tps and iac have been replaced for that problem). I would like to really enjoy the car.
