cv joints

my cv joints are bad. anyone know how much it costs to replace them?

I had CV joints replaced on a Chevy Pick Up several years ago, about $400 for both sides. However they did not actually replace the joints, they replaced the short shaft which has the new joint installed. A labor saver. I could have done it myself had I known. Look into the short shaft possibility.
