Wierd Problem

Ok here we go:
Just recently I started having trouble starting my car. Sometime it starts and sometimes it doesn't. On occasions it just keeps turning over and over and eventually when it seems that the battery is going dead it starts. Then on other occasions it will start and then die out and when I try to keep it running by hitting the gas it just dies. I have been trying to figure this out but my patience is growing really thin with it. When I do get it running it idles perfectly.
Any and all help is appreciated.

it almost sounds like you might have a bad fuel pump. Cause the same thing happened to me with my car, and it turned out the pump was bad along with a bunch of rust and junk in the gas tank.
