difference in transmissions

Ok...I want to put the isuzu B&M short shifter in my 99 z24, but I keep hearing there are 2 kinds of trannys for the cavalier. Is the Isuzu tranny different than the Getrag?...or is it just another name for it. RKsport has an aluminum flywheel for my car but its STRICTLY for the GETRAG tranny only? Whats the diff?? Thanx
