Hi all,
I just received a Nissan Pathfinder 1995 from USA, with automatic gearbox, and to my luck after a week or so, the problem is as follows:
I was driving slowly through city, and suddenly the car just slowed completly, kind of like i put the gearbox in Neutral. It would not move in any of the gears.
Turning the car OFF for 5-10 min. the gearbox shifts normally for another 1-2km and then it stops again as if it were in Neutral.
There is no noise or anything from the Gearbox, engine runs fine, just that the Car want move forward or backward!
I checked the gearbox oil its in middle-level.
The problem is as i live in Albania and there are only about 3-4 Pathfinders around here, and all of them are with Manual gearbox, and simply there are no good service garages in here.
Anyone had the same problem?
Thanks a lot for your help.

[QUOTE=CEPi]Hi all,
You will find if you service the transmission that the torque convertor lock up lining has come off the plate and is blocking your filter. When you turn vehicle off the debri falls out of the filter and allows you to restart vehicle and regain drive until the contaminants block the filter once again causing no drive.
You will have to get your transmission overhauled if this is the case.
