Bluetooth Keyless Entrygregory1041 10-05-2004, 10:55 AM I am wondering if anyone has incorporated Bluetooth technology into their Xterra. I would like to install a proximity locking system. I know vehicles like the VW Touareg has it from the factory. I think if you just hooked up a device that was directly connected to the door solenoids; you would set off the alarm. Any help or information on this would be appreciated. donnie_s 02-26-2005, 12:14 PM I know this post is old but i figured you still may need the info. The Xterra's factory security will arm/disarm when it sees a negative pulse to the lock/unlock wires. The wires are located in the bottom plug of the SECU(left of steering column) and are yellow for lock and yellow/red for unlock. Those colors are for 2000-2003 models. So,in short, you can add aftermarket keyless without it interfering with the fac.security.I install alarms and stuff all day so I hope this helps. gregory1041 03-07-2005, 10:50 AM Yes, this is a big help. Thanks!!! cooleyvette 07-26-2005, 10:59 PM ive got passive keyless entry on my 94 vette factory. its hard to believe that had that tech back then. i love it though. if you can do it. do it.
