automatic window problem

hi. i have an 03 pathy and about 2 weeks ago my driver side window started giving me problems. my car has automatic windows and in pathfinder the front windows go up automaticly after i pull the button all the way and it also has this feature that if something is in the way it whould stop and go down a little. so what my mine does now is when the windows closes all the way it would not stay closed but would go down and does it all the time untill i hold button up and shot off the car. did anybody have this problem or heard of it. any help would be greatly appreciated.

I have this exact same problem with my '02 on the passenger side window. If you roll the window up, either with the auto up feature or just by holding the button, it goes down again about 4 inches.

I took it to the dealer and they said that the solenoid is out on the window motor. About a $200 part. Not counting installation.

And since it had just came out of warranty, due to the number of miles I put on it, I decided to live with it.

My 12 year old daughter found the solution to living with it.... when you roll up the window, don't pull the button all the way up. Just hold it up about halfway, which is enough for the window to move. Once the window is up, let go and it should stay up.
