Does anyone know if aftermarket brakes will cause it to constantly squeel? My service guys suggest that I replace my brakes with only LR autorized to the tune of $800 for pads and rotors,

If you look around a little bit, you can find LR oem pads and rotors for less than that. My favorite place is here;, the site isn't completed yet, but give him a call, the guy's name is Mohammed and he is almost always much cheaper than anywhere else.

Also, why are you replacing the rotors too?? Are they already worn out, or are they warped and messed up?

If you were to find a pair of aftermarket ones, I think you would be OK putting them on as long as they were just as good or better than the LR ones. Otherwise, I definately would not recommend it. Besides, any aftermarket ones that are as good as the LR ones will be just about as expensive as what Mohammed charges anyway, so you might as well go with oem

If you are looking for aftermarket, check out some places like Rovers North and British Pacific, I know they do some aftermarket brake conversion kits.

Thanks for the tip I will look into them and check, yeah the truck has 60k and it just needs new brakes and rotors, it was a corp lease return so its in fantastic shape but just setting off the abs, traction, and hill descent light, they thought it was the shutter valve which was a $3000 fix but it was just the brakes

Yeah, I have never seen this exact thing before, but my best bet would be the ABS control module or some wiring somewhere else.

Also might even try a brake system flush with fresh fluid and make sure it's all bled out just right. Air in the lines will make the brakes lose a lot of power!
