Sounds like a good price if the body is decent(not rusted to hell) and there are no *major* mechanicals. I have 31x10.5 and I think my 4 cyl is underpowered. I would think that 36's would definately need a set of gears to make up for the loss of torque. For the most part these trucks are rock solid. Anything can be broken but these trucks are more forgiving than most machines.

the i-4 is a little underpowered, but yu could always swap out for the v-6 or the turbo

i agree with the underpowered comments in that compared to the six and others but on its own with some aftermarket parts, it hauls off road and you could gain back some of that torque with getting a little smaller tires (36s not really needed) but the lower gears are a must.

i know you can get head work done for the 22r, performance camshaft, milled head, polished ports, plus you can pacesetter headers and exhaust system, weber carbs, and probably some interenals as well as something like msd ignition. that would all go a long way towards power for offroading, but like g_metalowl says, 36's are really not needed. you can go offroading with 35's, 33's, or 32's and still go al ong way

hey you know what carb i found is cheaper and even more powerful than a weber? im trying it out right now but its a 500cfm holley 2brl that i got for half the price for the weber out of summit and they even make a spacer for it (not summit). the only thing is the jets might be to big for the gas concious but thats an easy swap.

er, then again if youre doing the dual weber set up then... id have to agree with the weber deal.

if they are out there, you could use holleys. i wasn't aware that a holley would fit, i just knew about the webers from another post
