Jammed Shoulder Belt Retractor

The driver-side shoulder belt retractor on my '91 Legacy Turbo is jammed. This has happened before and I've replaced the entire unit.
What happens is the cable/track lubricant dries out, and as the pulling resistance increases, the cable "shortcuts" the 90 bend in the track and pulls itself halfway through the track gap at the corner, solidly binding itself.
Anyone know what the recommended lubricant is for the cable that will stand up to long use in a dry climate (Colorado) and won't drip down onto your clothes?
Other than that, the car runs great with 203,000 miles and doesn't use any oil.
Thanks,
Mark
