Any electrical types out there. (ABS wire)

A few weeks ago something flew up and hit my ABS line above the rear diff.

The drivers side wire came out, and my ABS is not functioning now. The connector that the wire pulled out of seems like a one-time use kind of thing. As far as I can see there is no way to get the wire back in.

Any suggestions?

Aside from going to the dealership and having it replaced. If you wanna do it yourself, you can visit your local radio shack(if they have one around there) or local electronics store, and get this wiring repair kit that they have with grips, connectors and stuff like that. I know it's kinda hard to understand what I'm saying, if you know what I'm talking about, then, you can do that.

Sorry to hear that. Well then, there's option 2 as I suggested.

look at the bright side, this will be a great oppurtuity to lengthen that ABS line in preperation for more rear wheel travel.:)

Sorry Schlud, I just went and looked and mine are stuffed up there and tight. Thought I might be able to give you some piece of brilliance but NOPE. :(

The only thing I can think of is to disconnect the connector, figure out which wire goes with which terminals, solder new wires to the terminals, cut off the current connector, and attach your own connector (male-female type) to the freshly soldered-on wires and the existing wires.
This may or may not be feasible depending on what you have to work with when you unplug that connector.

I can't believe you still haven't fixed that!

I like the Radio Shack idea. You could extend the lengths of the wires using butt connectors or by soldering and then put a whole new connector on there that could still snap together. otherwise, you could just connect everything together withlout a snap connection.

Or if the dealer has the repair kit then you're all set. :)
