Windshield Problem

My windshield is noticeably sandblasted and chipped from rocks over the years and it's causing me to go through wiper blades at least once every 4 months. Is there something I can do about this to prolong the life of the blade? And what is the best product to clean the inside of the windows especially for someone who smokes in their car?

Have you tried Rain-X? I started using it about 6 years ago and have it on all my car's. At highway speeds It don't even use my wipers. City driving you'll have to turn them on. give it a try.

Get a new windshield???? Probably would help considerably with your vision as well. Is it bad enough to be a safety issue?

ehh, i've tried the rain-x which did not help any. Getting a new windshield is out of the question due to the money situation. It just sux that it eats my wiper blades like i'm using them constantly on ice during the winter. Rain-x won't do anything for cleaning the inside of my windows either.
