I have a 1994 Rodeo, with DVD, CD, 1000w amp, Headrest monitors, 8 speakers and a 12" Sub. The amp is mounted to the roof, using 2 brackets from a 1995-up Rodeo/Passport that are used for the rear speakers. I have two speakers mounted to the roof from a '95 Passport, and speakers behind the rear seats from a 1994 Rodeo. For the monitors I used 1998 Chevy Truck headrests. They fit all right, but need a little force to put in.

I will have pictures soon, let me know if you need to know any more specifics. I am not a pro, and I only have about $500 invested in the system.

My system is a little more modest than Sam's, but it suits my needs just fine. Pioneer DEH-P5200 headunit, US Acoustics USB-600D mono sub amp, JL Audio 10w3 sub, kenwood rear coaxs, Infinity 6000cs front separates. Head unit crosses over all bass to amp preouts and mid/highs to internal amp. Sounds great for what I spent!

What kind of speakers fit the 95.5 rodeo that don't sound like crap?

I have a 97LS 4X4...replaced the front door oem's with Rockford Fosgate fanatic X 4" components and the rear roof mounted pods with Kicker K46 4x6's due to the fact no modifications required. The 4x6's have to have a crossover to remove the bass or you get alot of distortion. It's hard to find 4" fanatic x's now, but there are lots of other 4" components available. I have a 4ch Alpine amp under the front passenger seat for the above, but plan to switch to a 4ch RF when financially possible :) I have a RF power 351s in the rear driving a JL Audio 10" W3. I like this setup because it sounds good and leaves me with some cargo room. I have a Kicker S15L7, which was used in my previous car, that I have been considering using, but it will take up the entire cargo area. I have a Kenwood 9017 head unit, which I love except for only having 2pr preouts (which isn't really a big deal since the RF amps have a pass thru). I plan to get a music keg, again when financially able, instead of a cd changer...no moving parts = no skipping. My system my not win any competitions, but then again I am not into that, but it sounds great, was easy to install without modifications, and I didn't go broke building it.

Purchased an off-lease 99 Rodeo last year & could not handle the stock stereo... Put in a modest but sweet system. Pioneer DEH-7500MP Head Unit (nice unit for the price). This unit has a 50x4 mosfet amp w/ built-in crossover & subwoofer control. Fosgate Fanatic 5 1/4 Seperates in the front & Fosgate 4 1/2" in the upper rear. A pair of 8" Fosgate pro series woofers & a Punch 201s amp powering them. Small & compact w/ big sound! I still have plenty of room for hauling & storage.
