check engine lightPacs_Legend 03-07-2004, 05:58 PM i have a 1993 subaru legacy, auto, non-turbo, front wheel drive, the check engine light is on, is there any way to find out what is causing the light to stay on? i know on my old acura, i could use a paper clip to jump the wire, and i could count the # of times the check engine light flashed and that would tell me what was causing the problem, can i do something like this with the subaru? i just dont have the money to take it to the dealership right now,any help/comments would be appreciated, thanks Mark tehzer0 11-25-2004, 05:52 PM I know around here you can take it to the local Auto Zone and they can read the code for you for free. Worth a shot. bluelegacyman 12-11-2004, 06:01 AM yeah i went to autozone when my light went on and all it was was a bad o2 sensor, they tend to go out quickly on subies vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
