Mazda 626 with Error Code 6

I have a 1991 Mazda 626 that immediately stalls when put in drive. It works fine in reverse. It is a Japanese manufacture. I pulled up the Check Engine error code and found it to be a '6'. From an error chart that I located, the problem should be with the "Vehicle Speed Sensor". Any idea where this might be located? My repair manual does not mention this component. Thanks.
