Alright. I got a shifter for my car and went to put it on yesterday. Everything was fine until I went to drive it to the station cause we had a call. I put it in park and tried to take the key out of the ignition, and it wouldn't come all the way back. I had to leave my keys in the car while we ran the call and luckily enough had the stock knob in the trunk and threw it back down on there and bam, the key came out fine. It gets stuck between Off and ACC. Is there something that needs to be disabled in order for the new shift knob to go on there?

You know that little sticker below the Shifter that says "shift lock"? thats what you have encountered. The same thing happened to me except I had to play with it until I got the key out.
The reason the key wont come out is because it beleives the car is not in Park or Neutral. Try wiggling the shifter a bit until you hear a click. Also, if you look in the manual it will tell you where theres a button to disable the shift lock. Its underneath the trim around the shifter and you need a pencil or screwdriver to push into a hole.

I figured it out. Took me 2 hrs of sitting in the driveway working with it until the height of the shifter was right and such, but it works now. Looks much better, IMO.
