(1991 Celica) I had replaced the Alternator several months ago but the battery light still would come on now and again. Finally the battery gave out(it was old) so I replaced it and now the battery light still comes on and goes off with out any consistency. Last night my cars power gave out. The battery is a day old and the Alternator is a few months old.
Is there another part to the Celica Charging system other than the battery and alternator that could be causing this? I am at a loss and any input would be great. Could the alternator have been bad?
Thanks!

ok have you checked your wireing also get a digital voltameter for 13.00- 50.00 dollars there a good thing to have around so you can check volts, dc,ac ohms. if you run your car your alternater should be pushing about 14.4 volts to your baterry . put the voltimeter on dc 20
put the red one to hot , black to ground start your car if your putiing out 14.4 your good if not they gave you a bad alternater .. any ? reply to this

I have replaced 7 alternators in my 91 celica in the past two years. The most recent, two alternators this past weekend. Is this a common problem with this car? Are there any solutions? HELP!!!!!

If there is a flaw that bad in the 91 Celica's then this is what I would be doing.. First change the alternator and the battery..
**(Never ever start up an engine with a new alternator without first having your battery checked and charged at a parts store because it will destroy your new alternator if your battery is either bad or undercharged)**
Then after that do what this guy did..

I did that to my 88 Chevy Beretta and it did wonders
