Could someone help with this problem? I tried to replace the starter on my 94 s-10 4x4. I removed the wires and bolts but could not get the starter out. I got it free from the flywheel housing but there was not enough room to pull the starter out of the area. So the starter is loose, sitting between the frame and the engine and I can not figure out how to get it out of there. Is there other parts that need to be dismantled? Please help

I think you can pull aprox. 6 bolts out of the bellhousing COVER and remove it and the starter will then fall out. If it is like mine anyway......

You have to remove the crossmember that goes under the front of the trans.

Thanks for all the help. I got the job done. this is how I did it. Pull the motor mount bolt out of the passenger side motor mount. this is in the middle of the valve cover and down on the engine block. the bolt head is 5/8" and the nut is 11/16" .Next I put a jack on the oil pan and lifted the motor up. You can get just enough room to squeak it out if there. t5hen put it back on the same it came off.
