Tire size?

I just bought some new rims for a 96 civic dx. They are 16" motegi mr7 4 lug pattern. I need to know what size/spec tires to get. I asked a tire place and they said id have to find out myself becuase they didnt know.. so, anyone?

16X7 should fit with 205/40R16. am not too sure about the offset though. i know offset is usually 40 mm. give or take 5 mm...is it ok with these offsets? wont it rub or anything like that?

Well first of all I wouldn't go to a place that doesn't know what tire to put on a fucking rim. When they say find out your self, you say fuck your self i'll take my buisness elsewhere. And walk out with a smile.
