I am planning on buying a swap for my 92 civic hatchback cx. I am tied between the CRVTEC swap and the LSVTEC. Please give me any advise, pro's/con's of every thing on these engines. Please give me specifics and prices. Thanks

i personally dont like either but everyone will give you their own opinion. It was not a stock honda motor to begin with so you WILL have problems with it. The most common i have seen is it eatin through oil like you wouldnt believe. Ive also heard the GSR head doesnt work as well as the B16/B18C5 does. Just some things to think about. I have heard the CRV puts down better #'s tho.

That right CRV-tec better low end torque and I herd that if you build it right..no problems. It all depends if you do it right.. take your time.

so are there any disadvantages to crvtec? i heard the sleeves aren't very strong but i donno. I also heard it would be better to just get an ls block and sleeve it to 84. what would be the better route. also cheaper, or more expensive?

also you're saying "if i build it right". what would i have to do to the block to make it "problem free" as you would say. i mean are there any specific parts that will just break or crack if i don't replace them right away, or could i run most of it stock? I mean it does have low compression
