Hello everyone,

I'm 20 years old and have loved American cars/engines ever since my dad showed me some pictures of his 71' AMX Javelin. I live in the England so American cars are pretty rare here but I guess thats all the more reason to own one.

I have wanted a Pontiac Firebird since the age of ten. Purchasing one here in the UK would be very hard at my age and income level. I have decided to go with the importation of an engine in need of a full rebuild. I have always wanted to do this and i understand the work involved.

I hope you guys come in handy as I am very enthusiastic, but have little mechanical knowledge having only performed basic work on my 1955' Morris Minor. My Morris sports an amazing 803cc 27bhp engine (probs about 8hp now haha).

Gonna need lots of advice so you will probably see me scattering many stupid questions around the forum. Id rather ask a stupid question than make a stupid mistake : )

Cheers,

Josh

It's not a stupid question unless you ask it twice and you get the same answer.
