Year and JDM conversion ???BlackBlur 06-08-2003, 05:20 PM Ok first of all im a Mitsubishi guy and i dont know much about Acura products. But here it is, Im thinking of purchasing a Integra GSR , what year should i get? 94-96 ish? And second how much does the Japanese JDM Kit and headlight conversion cost? Thanks alot Josh Hill 97gsr 06-08-2003, 05:22 PM if you CAN... get a 93 gsr...otherwise ur fine with the 94+ and the jdm conversion usually runs ~1500 for the parts...thats if you shop around!! PWMAN 06-08-2003, 09:46 PM In case he doesn't know, 90-93 are second generation tegs and look COMPLETELY different than the 3G. If you prefer a 3G, 94-95 are the best to get because they are OBD1 and easier to work with. Thepeug 06-09-2003, 04:32 PM I agree with PWMAN. It's a matter of personal preference when it comes to 2nd gen vs. 3rd gen. IMO, the 2nd gens, as far as appearance is concerned, are a basic variation on other accords/civics of that generation. The 3rd gens are much sportier...then again, everybody seems to have one these days. IF you're going for a 3rd gen, though, definitely go for a 94-95 (unless you find a Type R for the same price!). 97gsr 06-09-2003, 05:11 PM funny you mention the R!! i am looking at getting one!! dont know if i will do it tho BlackBlur 06-09-2003, 10:10 PM An where exactly might i find one of these Type-R Integras? Like i said before, i dont know alot about this stuff , but i thought that the type-R was a Japanese thing? but ?????i have not a clue and im all ears for advise . But no kiddin , can i just randomly find a Type-R? 97gsr 06-09-2003, 10:16 PM fawk yea man!! they sell Type R's in the states.... they just look like the USDM 94+ integras... and rated at 195 hp http://www.k-oticracing.com/images/itrfrontside.jpg and here's jdm: http://www.imagestation.com/picture/sraid65/p79ea575017ed94de4c99c287144537dc/fbf648b5.jpg PWMAN 06-09-2003, 10:17 PM Sometimes www.Autotrader.com has them. You can't put in ''integra'' because it won't bring up type R's. You just have to put in ''all models'' and look around for them a bit. They are pretty expensive though, lowest I've seen is 17K. 97gsr 06-09-2003, 10:25 PM better look harder bro!! ;) but yea... seems like $17,xxx is the norm i got my eyes on this '97 with 50,xxx miles. $14,800:bigthumb: still waiting to hear back on where he's located! i'm kinda weary tho...seems too good to be true!! vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
