installed a new radio and the theft system shutdown the car-

I just installed a new radio in my son's 2002 cavalier now the car will now run and the dash board gauges have all stopped working . the theft system light is coming on .Putting the old radio back in is not an option. can anyone help . what do I need to do

well, the generic reset for theft control is to turn the key on, let the car sit for 10 minutes (until the light goes out), then try to start. if that doesnt work, you may need a dealer to reset it.
