I have a 93 eagle talon fwd non turbo which i put a 92 transmission in. The problem i am having is the out put shaft sensors are in different locations on the transmission. The transmission control modules are also different, 93 has two plugs and the 92 has 3. My question is there a work around for this issue?

Welcome to AF!

Just as a heads up, I moved your thread from the Member Projects over to the Engine, Transmission and Drivetrain subforum instead. :)

Now onto the issue at hand... The only work around you could probably do would be to hack wires and rewire them together that way. However, I don't even know which wires you would want to start with. I think a better solution might be to buy a matching TCU so it'll just be plug and play. Not sure if the different sensor locations will affect anything or not though...

Thanks for the help first time user.
The 93 pick up reads a .375 wide area off the end clutch and the 92 reads teeth off out put shaft gear which would have a totally different impulse. .
There are two different End clutch covers the 93 has a spot for the pick up to mount the pick up at the end clutch but and i don't have this end cover. If any one knows were i can pick one up i would appreciate it.
Thanks for any help

I see that you are from Warren which isn't too far from me. Have you checked A1 imports junkyard in North Lima for the end cover? They used to have a ton of wrecked DSM's in there. Might be able to find the correct end cover that you need.

Unfortunately, I don't know too much more about the auto transmissions to help ya out much more with them on a year swap like your doing. Another thing to consider, is the spline count different between those two years to your axles? I know they were different for the AWD models between 92 and 93 but didn't know if the same applied to the FWD models as well. Just thought I'd throw that out there before you dive too much deeper into your swap.
