okay, so this is my brothers car and i have tried to get him to fix this thing, it runs good now but im worried its going to blow up if he doesnt fix it. no power loss when floored btw.

the car has had a miss since he got it, he running ngk bprses, not sure on the gap, but i think he at .042. the miss is really intermittent, and it only misses in park or neutral, also it idles around 1100 rpm in park and neutral and 850 rpm in drive.

the lifters have started to make some noise just in the last two weeks, and there intermittent also, it will click for a few minutes and then nothing for a few more minutes, over and over.

any help is greatly appreciated

1st thing, regap those plugs. They should be gapped at .028 or so. That would explain the miss. lifter noise is normal, when was the last oil change and what oil does he use? What boost is he running and I'm assuming you meant BPR7ES plugs?

Agreed. Gap is way too big for that car.

Lifter tick is pretty common as the car gets older. It's not really anything bad, but just keep on eye on it. Some people get annoyed and replace them with new OEMs or upgrade to the 3G lifters, which are known for not ticking ever.

Also, do a Boost leak test.

check the wires or replace them, that may cause the misfire. I had good luck with .028 and never had misfire. That may not be a fix but it's a start.
