hey everyone, new to this forum, so i could use some advice. I just recently picked up this talon, 2.0 non/turbo, auto, it has 53,000 original miles and the transmission just started slippin a little bit here and there and now its becoming more frequent. Ive only had it for about 3 weeks now, and after the first week is when i noticed it , but its more frequent now. I do noticed it is leaking tranny fluid, its drippin down on the exhaust i believe cause i can smell it and you can see a little smoke comin from it. I cant tell for sure where its coming from cause the car is lowered and i cant get underneath it to see. And also, how can i tell which tranny i have, iwent to the parts store to get a new tranny filter and he asked me which tranny do ihave there were 2 different filters. Any ideas where the leak is coming from and also anybody have any luck with a trans backflush from those quicklube stores? Thanks Ron--- BTW I have checked the fluid level and it was low alittle, topped it off and problem is still there.

Welcome to forums!
Nice find on the car. You might can try some transmission fix stuff at the store to help the slip but you might be better off just finding a used tranny and putting it in there. Auto transmissions can be a headache to diagnoise and expensive to repair. You could pick up a good tranny for a couple hundred and solve the problem.
