My first car never ran, so here is the first car I owned AND drove!
It was a 1976 Firebird Formula 400 - brutally fast and a whole lotta fun!
It's a miracle I'm still here!

Thanks! And, that was the Pontiac promo pic for 1976, my car was identical except for the wheels (snowflakes). All my old pics were lost to a fire in 1996 :(

My First car which I still have is a Manual 1983 Ford Falcon XE 3.3. When we orignally bought it, it was lowered but with our rather steep driveway we got standard springs fitted. It has a CD player with some better than average speakers(well I think so anyway). It's been a trusty old car but is now starting to leak. :)

Hmm....My first car was a 76 Toyota Corolla Liftback when I was 11 years old. I shelled out a measly $75 for it and it took me 10 minutes to figure out the manual choke..haha. Taught myself how to drive stick on it too (not really...lol...took me 2 days before my brothers told me you needed the clutch to shift). My brothers also told me you need a drivers liscence, insurance and a liscence plate to drive. So I thought I could compensate by grabbing the front plate off one of my parents cars and sticking it on the rear of the Corolla. I was the most popular kid in school for a couple weeks - I charged $2 for a ride home to all my friends (luckily most of them lived within 3-4 blocks of each other). Dad finally put 2 and 2 together and took the car away. He sold the car for $800 and put it in my bank account. I took some of that money and reinvested it - buying my next car, a 73 Toyota Corolla w/Toyoglide for $100.

Well since January I changed my decision and am going to buy a Nissan 240SX when I come back from Greece:D It's a good car and can I'll build it up until it fits my taste perfectly or I'm broke. I'll start of with a strawberry conversion, that will be unique in Europe, and later on do the regular (brakes, suspension) upgrades. Finaly I'll swap in a SR20DET along with this I'll change the whole pipeing and as a last step an optimized chip tuning:devil: time needed to reach all this alot!:(

My first car was an 87 Pontiac Grand Am. I owned it for almost 7 years, until the sunroof started leaking and I was told that the metal around the seal was rusting and falling apart:mad:

Decided to trade it in before the metal gave way and a torrent of rain would pour in and ruin the car.

I still love that car to this day, especially since I didn't have any car payments on it. (graduation gift)

Otherwise it was a good car, besides having to replace the alt or battery every year.

I swear, I washed and waxed that car every other weekend. :frog:

First car:

1991 VW Corrado G60
68mm pulley, ~15-17 lbs boost
BPU (intake, exhaust, some other stuff)
17" Racing Hart F24 (thought these were HUGE!)
Euro chin spoiler
Cut springs (just one coil front and back, c'mon, no flames!)

Mad torque! Could get it into ANY parking spot! Awesome suspension, although my GTO has better high-speed stability STOCK. Too bad the VW was an auto. Only one I could find after two months of looking that didn't have at least one bad syncro, so I settled for the auto. Hey, it lasted 2-1/2 years!

My first car I had was when I was 17.It was a 1989 Chrevrolet Camaro Rally Sport with the 305 engine. It was a true hot-rod.Bored out to 350 cubes,Edebrock headers, elarged water pump, and tons others that would take up too much space to list.I can tell you it was putting out like something like 450 horsepower to the wheels and would shred the tires at like 40 mph.It was Dallas Cowboys blue with IROC rims.I "enhanced"the inside with tiger-skin(not real)seat covers and white fuzzy dice(I was such a freak back then). It all came to an end when I had an accident that dented up the drivers door.It was just a dent but the insurance company said it was cheaper to just pay the car off(I had a couple thousands dollars worth ballance on it).I miss that car dearly. But one day about a year later I saw The Fast and The Furious and never looked back.IMPORTS RULE!!!!!!!!!!!:grey:

You must have one talented machinist that can bore out a 305 to a 350, as it's physically impossible....

It was 1977...
The car was a '66 Mustang Fastback...
Dark blue, rust everywhere. Pulled it out of the mud from behind a farmer's barn. New rubber everything, some other work, and "purrrrbpghprrrr..." slant six cylinders ran pretty smooth! The interior was nearly perfect. Installed an under-dash 8-Track...Boston's first album cranked through cheezy speakers.
Oh, take me back.

1989 Chevrolet Camaro RS with the 305 option. But it wasn't slow like most 305s from that era. The original owner was a serious speed freak I guess. Enlarged water pump, Edelbrock headers, racing camshaft, performance chip...way to much to list.
It was also a fairly decent lookin' car too. Royal blue with polished alloys, BFGR rubber(white lettering)...I'll post a pic when I get a digi.
Another note, back then I wasn't very...how you say...stylish. I put on white-tiger seat covers & white fuzzy dice. My mother one time said it made her think of the phrase "shaggin' wagon" everytime she looked at it. So it stuck.
Sad thing though, I got into a little fender-bender. The insurance company said it was just cheaper to pay it off than fix it. I'm not lying, I cried when they came to pick her up...
One day, I hope to own another big rumbling muscle car like that again...

my first car was a 93' Honda Prelude. I got it for 3500 dollars, than i just ran it into the ground because I was an idiot, (2nd, 3rd, 4th gear synchro gone, and shattered CV joint with bent axle). It was sweet though, I bought it with custom exhaust, not sure what kind, except that it had no cats. And it had an airmass header and iceman CAI, and I thought the guys said something about performance cams, but I didn't know what that was cause I was an idiot. I have a GSR now, I love it to death, I would like to think this was my first real car as I bought it, not mommy and daddy. Its my baby, and no way im runnin' this one into the ground.

My first ride was a 1985 Dodge Ram Charger that I paid 500 bucks for. It didn't run when I bought it so my dad said I could go get my license when I got the truck running. About 200 dollars later and about 3 weeks later my friend and I had it going. I drove the truck for over a year and then sold it for 1500 dollars. I've gone through way too many viechles since then and still one of my fav's ever is the old "Butthead".

A new 1970 Grabber Blue Mustang with a base 302 V8 and steel wheels with hubcaps shod with G70-14 Polyglas. During my first summer with it, I yanked the base 302 and replaced it with an orphaned Cleveland "Boss" 302 hooked to a 4-speed with Hurst T shifter, posi 4.11 rear.

Kept the steel wheels and quiet exhaust. No markings other than a flat black comp stripe down the hood. No shaker - used twin cold air tubes to the air cleaner. Plain Jane interior - only tip-off was the Hurst. A total sleeper that kept me in beer when some boy racer thought he was picking on a base Mustang.

It fell victim to Buckeye Body Rot after only 3 years. OPEC turned off the spigot, gas went sky high and I couldn't give it away. Eventually sold it to a used car dealer for only a thousand bucks. :disappoin

bought it for 500 from a pregnant young lady who needed money badly.
once painted and shod with some chrome wheels for about 1500 total, I sold it for 3500. Turns out it had a 403 out of a 78 toronado becasue the origional owner didn't like the stock engine (diesel). the fastest 5,000lb car I ever drove.
