It has 120,000 miles but thats nothin' for a nissan, as a matter of fact thats the recommended service for the timing belt that I had done before it broke, at Sutherlin Nissan in Merritt island Florida. This car has always been taken care of from the smallest detail, I have an account with Nissan 'cause were a body shop so I get parts at cost. The car is in great shape. I even bought the adjustable control arms, for low tire wear and excellent handling.:frog:

It's an awesome car. Wanted one for the longest time. My roomate is really interested in it, but he is getting shipped off to catar (sp) tomorrow. So if its still available in 7 months its sold :) Or if you are willing to trade, earlier.

120,000 miles? Are you kidding? These HAVE to be replaced at 60,000. Just ask any mechanic familiar with a Z. That belt is tensioned by a pulley and if it is not checked regularly you could loose lots of good engine parts.
If anybody out there has over 60,000 on your belt RUN, don't walk to the nearest dealer and get it changed.
Curious, does your T/T Z smoke out the right bank? Email me at [email protected].

The Z has a recommended timing belt change at 60,000 and 120,000 miles, are you some kind of idiot? Or is this a joke?

for the timing belt that I had done before it broke
So it broke off the car?
If so it is good that it didn't break while on the car, but how do you break it while not using it?
If it broke while on the car, well good luck selling it.

The timing belt never broke, I changed it before it broke as preventative maintenance.

1slowaccord it is spelled QATAR. and the timing belt needs to be changed out every 60k if you don't want pay for a brand new engine. The VG30DE engines will last forever if they are properly maintained, and babied every once and awhile. What perfomance modifications have you done?

Nothing too extreme, you can go stage crazy on the 300zx, just intake, magnaflow stainless exhaust, stillen adjustable upper control arms, jim wolf chip. :badass:

No matter how much crap anyone talks about your Z....it still rocks man. That thing is just beautiful.....
One question to everyone though...
Do you have to change the timing belt every 60,000 on all cars, or is it just that Z or what? I got a '96 Saturn sl2 that im about to buy for cheap, but I just want some info on the timing belt thingy. Thanks

Still after much discussion No-one has said whether they would pay $10,900 for the car? Just curious has the car ever been wrecked?

Well I don't think you will have any problems selling it for $10,900. In fact if you want you can send plenty of pics and information to me at [email protected] and I will help you sell it. I have a few customers with NA Z's looking to upgrade to TT's.
