Volfenhag Sub Problem!!!

I got a pair of 12' Volfenhag woofers to go in my 94 S-10 regular cab and I admit it is on heck od a squeez to put them behind the seats, but building a custom box worked. I have them hooked to a Legacy 1400 watt amp coming from a Sony Xplod 208 watt CD Player. :alien: Good set up it seemed with the Sony Xplod 6 1/2' in door mids. The problem is the Volfenhag subs tend to rattle a bit and it can be annoying if you notice it. I have nothing else inline hooked up to the amp, no noise reducers, no nothing. I used to have a pair of Legacy woofers but they never rattled.

Has anyone else had this problem or know what to do?

Both subs do it even out of the boxes I made.

Thanks,
Jeremy

Well I have 2 12" Volfenhags running basically the same system as yours. I am using a Cyclone Amp instead but check the amp connections and read the amp manual about hissing noises. I had this happen to me although it was a small little part of the wire that wasn't completely in its place it cause my amp to burn up 3 fuses. Also make sure to check the screws holding the subs in place are tight and if not than rotate it and drill new holes. I have screws in every open spot on my subs to make sure they dont rattle.
