Save your money and buy a GTP. You will need the entire top end from a supercharged version. Then you will need transmission, wiring harness, PCM, fuel pump, axle shafts and etc. The transmission you have may hold up for a period of time but not for long. It will also take a considerable amount of time to change it over.
A turbo conversion would be a better choice.

I saw on another forum that someone is working on a twin-turbo set-up for the 3800.
I say Twin-Turbo it....

ZZP has a SS M90 Kit and other parts like lower intake and the Eaton M90 blower needed to do the job for around $1500. It is an L36 to quasi L67 conversion.

Best part is the kit takes advantage of the L36's higher compression ratio but you are not supposed to go too small on the supercharger pulley. Also, no major drive belt tensioner mods are required.
The only difference between an autotransaxle between a GTP and GT is the passenger side axle shaft and the beefier differential. The basic trannies are identical otherwise.
The major problem with turbo kits and especially twin turbo is the outrageous cost. Lets get realistic. Anyone that goes that route needs their head examined. :screwy:
IMO you are better off with a GTP.

Yeah that TT set up is out there but I thought I would throw my 2 cents in...:)
No way a 9 second TT 3800 could be a DD..
I agree, get a GTP that way your starting off were you want to be...

The ZZP/Stattama and Intense Grand Prixs are more of a marketing deal to promote the 3800 engine, sell hi-performance parts for people willing to spend the money and to prove it can be done. Last time I checked Intense had the record for the last 39 out of 45 months for having the fastest SII 3800 Grand Prix. 9.223 @ 153.86 mph. But the chassis is super modded. Weighs only about 2,770 pound with a tubular chassis. They claim they have a barely streetable Grand Prix that runs 9.499 @ 145.13 mph weighing in at 3,050 pounds. The problem is due to turbo lag and excessive boost pressure you need a spray system (nitrous) with about 150 shot to get off the line. Doesn't sound too streetable to me let alone a daily driver.
At least I can drive my GTP to the drag strip or to work, if necessary.
