its not realy an confrontational situation Vipey, you just cant let them walk on you.
If they did the work and something was not done right then they are liable.
I know we've made a couple mistakes but I never argued, just bitched out who done the work, and fixed the mistakes.
It happens, especialy when you are trying to do to much at once or get in a hurry because things are getting backed up. :runaround:

I paid $3.58 lastnight for prem. 93 oct., and today at lunch it was $3.69 for reg 82 oct, this is getting stupid! :angryfire

Vipey... I'm in the same boat as you as size wise, but confronting someone doesn't bother me all the time. I had an arguement with some guy who was a black belt in martial arts who was clearly much larger then me. I'm only 5'10" and 135lbs....and this guy was 6'3" I would guess and much stronger then me. But its not what you say it's how you say it. Anyways the guy is liable for the repairs... I've gone back to my local mechanic for faulty repairs or even parts. Good luck though on all the repairs. Hopefully everything will be back to normal soon for you.

Gas has gone up over here too. it's about 3.30 for regular here. :runaround: I can't afford this gas price hike. :disappoin

car fixed, low coolant light keeps popping on, gotta check the level (maybe they didnt fill it up?)

Oh and I bought a new home audio system, more about that later...

THats great Vipey !! If your coolant level is ok you might have an air bubble on the sensor, tapping on the res. might help.

Still havent decided what color(s) for the under hood project.
I might do a R&R for the painting of the intake/valve covers , and the header install (when I get around to pulling the LIM off to change the lifters).
See Vipey, I should have changed my lifters when I tore it all down when I changed the head gaskets and LIM. :banghead:

I feel lucky, I havent had any LIM problems as of yet, 185k miles or so... on I think the original :dunno:

btw, whenever I start my car (cold start) it makes like a grind noise now.. but goes away shortly after some driving.... I can only describe it as lets say... bits of sand/metal inbetween the piston and the wall.. or something like that.... one thing I dont like about my car.. it hardly ever gives me any CEL!... guess its a good thing, I can just feel another issue coming on... I still need to get my fuel fixed.. again, just flushed, new filter. and new injectors.... I was hoping to possibly IF, I keep my car longer than expected.. ill go stageI from MMS with LIM/UIM + rods + NA Cam.. and possibly raw headers and new 80 series exhaust setup like you have there XI, those arent that bad actually in raw form... still lots of money though in the end, I could put it towards a new car instead... choices.. choices

one thing I guess I can say I'd like about getting a new car, with the exception of parts being slightly costly.... it'd all be easy bolt ons.. easier than the GA, of which I can just do in my garage with it jacked up on some a-frames

Gir your LIM might have been changed before you bought it, I do not see originals lasting that long.

I know no matter what I will keep my GA's and if they crap out I'll have tons of parts on fleabay. lol

I'm following the VHT curing procedure - heat, cool 30 min, heat, cool 30 min.. so the ceramics can bake on and be solvent / rust resistant.

So I'm thinking about getting a WRX for a winter car and a Corvette C5 for a summer car... when I'm rich ;)

LOL a 3rd-gen Integra was being a little bitch on the highway today... tailgating me like crazy... so I gunned it when I had an opening and was going about 85 and he didn't speed up. Then we hit traffic again. Then he tailgated me to where I could only see his friggin steering wheel. He put his hand out his sunroof and was tapping the top of his car like an assclown. Then he suddenly swerved extremely quickly into the slow lane (when it was wet and just started raining) and gunned it.

I mashed my gas pedal too... he had the upper hand at first because he started before I did, but I quickly put the little 4-banger in place as I began pulling ahead, and he then got stuck behind a semi before pulling in behind me WAY faster than most cars should in wet conditions on the highway.

He tried racing me again after that but I didn't want to because it was gonna get dangerous with wet conditions. I was already going about 95 to 100 the first time, and figured I spanked his cheap ass little car enough that I didn't need a round three ;)

<3 my ported intake manifolds, the response and horsepower boost ROCKS! All the mods I've done to my car make my car rev up really fast now, it's great!

Wish I had your car to slaughter his ass with Xero lol... that would have left his jaw dropped!

I went and got myself an MIR yesturday.... back and shoulders been killing me so I though I'd better get it taken care of.
Now I'm usualy not botherd with small spaces, but with a cage over my face, and stuck inside a tiny tube(for 60 minutes) made me feel quiet uncomfortable. :eek7: :grinyes:
Thank god I listened to my own CD, Opeth Ghost Reveries.. they didnt appriciate them much at all, said going from Barry Manalo to Opeth was a drastic change. :lol:

Hughsnet is a big one popping up around here. It uses satallite or something, about $90 a month for a little faster then dial up. I even heard our electric company has high speed via the electrical outlets, now that's just :screwy:

At least we don't have too crazy weather out here except last week being in the 80's and this week it's only in the 50's.

Yep verizon fios! We have a lot of competition for internet around here. We have the Verizon which we can do, dial-up, DSL ( which we had) or Fios. We have comcast in my area so that's another option. Then for TV dish is the other additional option. There may even be more but I don't know. It also depends on which town you live in around here on what services are available.

I live in the country, not much but dial up and satellite. :shakehead:

yea, usual places... I checked milzy, the pic is eeh... iffy.... though the z-spec place has one and is a poly mount.... Although I may go with milzy, due to z-spec bad rap aka RSM!

A poly mount is better then the stock rubber ones.
I'd go poly , a solid mount might be rough on the top engine mount.

I have solid lower trans mounts and they kick hard coming out of 2 at about 80 mph, feels like the dash is coming off. lol

if i hear a creaking noise when i turn my wheel to the right at low speeds... is that my rack and pinion steering? :(

Not necessarily.
It could be your springs rubbing on top, or some other bushings down under.
I'd try and figure out exactly where its coming from.

RANT TIME: I just got a C in a class. An easy class. Because of one single point on a quiz. ONE POINT. ARGHHHH. That's such BS. Purdue doesn't use the +/- system so I dropped from a 3.0 to a 2.0 weight from that class... rather than just a small decrease. My god that infuriates me. AFLKJFWFAFAL:KWAGJALG

Well the GT was sounding a little poorly this evening. A lot more ticking then normal, loud and persistant too, thought for sure a valve was about to drop. So I poured 4 oz of sea foam into the oil, and after about 6-8 miles it was totally gone... that stuff rocks ! :grinyes:
I know I have a bad lifter(or two), I'd sure hate for it to break before I get to replacing it... I should do that soon !
I started more work on the headers, have them primed grey, I'll get some pics up later. Probly work on it over the next few weeks, I just wish my headers would fit in the oven. :sly:

you think seafoam would help my sticky valve problem?...

whenever I rev the engine up in park, to a good extent, and let it fall naturally... i hear a knock noise closest to my powersteering pump... sounds like the one in front but idk

^ Mine had the same lifter ticking noise on the front by the power steering side before i traded in. It was pretty loud too when i would rev up. Anyways, another cloudy and cool day here. Where's the sun... I want the sun to be out!

Just so you guys know I'm selling my G6. First off I can't afford the payments anymore and for the future as well and also I'll be moving in a little over a month and the car can't come with me so it'll be hard for me to keep up with payments and insurance on something I'm not gonna be able to drive.

My tick cleared up lastnight but returned today. I realy didnt drive it enough to clean the sticking lifters. I'm going to drive it tonight and it should be good untill I tear it down.

Yeah I'll be moving to PR, as of June 14th so hopefully I can sell the car before then. I'll be down there as of the 10th, But those days don't count since I'll be on the honeymoon.:grinyes: I personally look forward to the warm weather all year round. Hurricanes... well that's a different issue that I would have to worry about but at least I have my girl to predict it! :biggrin:

Yes its going to be tricky getting them on with out something happening. Couldnt get them in my oven to pre cure them.... bad part is I have to wait 7 days to touch them up, from the first paint application, which is Sunday. :(

I will probly wrap some shop towels around them or something. I'll definately be wearing some CLEAN rubber gloves. lol

Last crazy dream I had was something about climbing a big pile of toy boxes or w/e and at the top it went into a wal*mart like home improvement store... then it switched to rabid monkeys killing everyone and only part of the store was left.... then seeking shelter with some others I met comedian Dane Cook and he was driving a ford excursion or w/e.. the big utility van that church go-er's use but it was extended and sorta painted like the A-Team van.... He pulled over and at first I was like.. Woah its him, then I'm like.. Monkeys are coming! (yea, I dont know lol)

I guess its good I dont dream lol

another crazy one involved a huge ice bridge, the floor, walls and ceiling... thick ice :uhoh: . It led to a hallway, then like a motel like place where people were having a huge party, beer/smoke/the other smoke/and public bathrooms where guys and girls were going into the same one :eek7: I dont remember much after that lol...

When I went to Breakfast Club, guys and girls were sharing the same restrooms simply because so many people had to piss. Guys were along the urinals while girls were lined up right behind you waiting for the stalls... so you have guys shoulder to shoulder with you with no walls in between, while chicks are watching you piss in a big line while everyone is drunk and noisy... needless to say there was no way in hell I could get myself to piss at a friggin urinal.

I did something interesting the other night... I play Forza Motorsport 2, racing sim for xbox360 as some of you know... there once was a money glitch, that you could do (as starting a new game) on the 1969 GTO (sexy car) by doing like a engine swap of an ls7 yadda yadda... anyways. There was a online patch for the game which fixed the glitch not too long ago.

I found out that with the 360, you can clear out the cache and online updates. But FM2 doesnt allow you to play cause do'h! its saved under the latest patch to play... made a new account and xbox live gave me 1month free for online on my dupe account,

basically, I can clear the patch, start a new game, raise 20 million dollars, then on my main account, sell crappy cars like a 94 honda VTi hatch for 10 million and buy them with my dupe account...

neat work around eh? :D I now have 40 million.. of which I wont run out for a while lol....

I looked up online and some others have discovered this also, one guy has even made his MySpace page to where you can give him money and he'll send you the credits. I think I saw even up to $105 dollars or something that you can give this guy.. psshh... I'll just do it myself! :D

Hey Everyone! What going on? I've been really busy running around for all these last minute details. :runaround: I see I missed out on some interesting conversation! Well my 2 cents to the whole convo... I can barely go when someone else is in the room let alone guys and girls... and dreams, I barely ever remember them myself if I'm even dreaming. It's rare for me to remember anything. Gas prices suck butt! It's around 3.50+ a gallon here. I paid $51 dollars to fill up my tank the other day and I have basically nothing as my income to back that up... so yeah that sucked badly! I have a ton of things I'm trying to sell but I guess a lot of other people are really broke since i can't get anyone to purchase either. This is probably the worst month for me financially...:frown: Oh well I'll survive somehow.

An 85 Monte?!! not bad. Is the body in good shape? Montes are nice but I've always liked the grand nationals.

That sucks about the monte. I guess that would be the reason for selling. My friend had an 86 monte, with only 45K miles on it in near perfect condition, but he rear-ended a pick-up truck at 45 mph. The monte didn't make it. :shakehead I've always found it's hard to find a middle ground with the grand nationals. Either they are in bad shape for too much money, or in perfect shape for LOTS of money. So for me it's just a dream I doubt I'll ever own one.

So far, swapped with the 505hp ls7, maxed out suspension and weight reduction, thing was heavy! - new tires and rims cause the way they put them in the game, its like the stock tires really are from the 1970s...

I got it putting out 997hp at the moment, I can rip tires 1st through 5th gear :) .. NO TRACTION! lol at all
