Here is the "brains" of it all the Panasonic head unit with 60 Watts x 4 and 5 Watts x 1 centre speaker.
http://files.automotiveforums.com/uploads/492816headunit.JPG
This is the lovely view from the front of the car with the back seats removed:)
http://files.automotiveforums.com/uploads/494544seatsremoved.JPG
The subs are 2 x Pioneer TS-W304C 12" subs each rated at 300 Watts nominal and 600 Watts maximum power handling.
the 6 x 9's are also pioneer TS-66990 rated at 240 Watts maximum power handling.
the boot install (still only part finished)
http://files.automotiveforums.com/uploads/918511bootinstall.JPG
Still having problems with amps so no doubt this will be changed in the not to distant future:(
And hidden to the right hand side of the sub box is the panasonic 8 disc changer.
Of course all protected by a full alarm system

nice set-up
although if were you i would try and see if i couldnt aim the subs toward the back of the car... in my system i found that i liked the sound better that way and it was more asthetically pleasing being able to see the subs pound their brains out when showing it off to friends and other enthusiats. But what you've done looks fine. Good work

I have tried firing them to the back of the car but didn't notice any advantages of setting them up that way. It only increases the amout the boot rattles :(

Nice install, taz. Probably pounds pretty hard in your car :D
I also like your choice of Pioneer equipment. I have a Pioneer Head-Unit, 4x6 fronts and 6x9 4-way rears. I chose them because they seem to offer a good balance of price vs quality. I didnt use there amps or subs, due to a poor selection locally.
Is the woofer enclosure homeade? Looks smartly done. I just finished the install in my sentra, did a homeade box for a single sub. I will post up some pics in the next day or so.
A couple more questions if I may......
1. What Brand of amp is that?, and how much power are you pushing to those subs?
2. Is that an MP3 deck? Looks pretty stylin anyways. What do you think of the panasonic deck? They arent very popular around here for some reason.
Once again, props on the install. Glad to see that there are more of us audiophiles on AF :)

The sub enclosure is home made out of 18 mm MDF and was a pain in the ass to design it to fit in a skyline boot (minimal height available).
That amp I have no idea of the brand but puts out 250 Watts x 4  when its working that is. THe amp that is currently running them is a fusion 2 channel putting out 250 Watts x 2. So a bigger amp is on the cards to fully push the subs:D .
The head deck is just a plain old CD - tuner unit. Panasonic isn't that popular here either but after hearing the difference the centre speaker make I just had to have it. I'm not a fan of the Pioneer head decks:eek: as I feel they tend to emphasise the bass in music too much.
As with most installs it will remain a work in progress and a drain on the bank balance:frog:

Got sick of the messy look in the boot (trunk for you Yanks) so I ripped it all out!. No just kidding I made up a fake wall to hide the mess away and to protect the amp from knocks.

This is still a work in progress so watch this space:D

back seats don't fold down :( so have to be removed.
currently in the process of saving for another amp the same as the one I have. Will end up running 1 amp bridged per sub to push then how they should be pushed.

the front speakers are Pioneer Bass bullet 5 1/4" components with the tweeters sitting on the dash. If I don't get my new car soon then tese will be replaced with the larger 6" + components.
