dual point to multi point?

ok... now I've got a 4door LX... and there is almost no hope for horsepower from a N/A or nonswap setup... but then i was thinking... would it be possible to swap on a multi-point intake manifold and other stuff and take out the dual point injection setup? I'm not sure what model civic i would get the multi point off of, but i would need the ECU from the car as well, correct?

I dont think you need the ECU, i think you just get all the multi point shit off a car that has it, I will talk to a friend of mine with a 91 CRX DX that seems to know everything there is about it.
By the way, where have you been?

you will need the ECU as well as the intake components. The easiest way to do the swap (not the cheapest) is to get an Si wiring harness, computer, intake setup and ECU. That should do it, I don't think you will need the distributor buy you may. Someone on here should be able to give you the wiring instructions if you want to hack into you stock harness. I would rather have a stock Si harness unmolested so you don't have to worry about your butchered connections and blah blah blah. Good luck. I'm switching to MPFI myself when I put in my D16a6 (si motor) but I have the harness, computer, distributor and everything. Good luck. If you have the 4 speed, switch to the 5 speed. No power advantage but much better gearing and drivablililty.

For the basic MPFI swap you will need-
88-91 Si ecu
Complete Si intake manifold
fuel rail and injectors
injector resistor box
Si distributor
coolant hose for the manifold
Misc stuff-
Extra wire
Soldering Pencil or Gun, and associated materials
Good Luck
