Just like the title says. Also, if you post something in here, make sure it is legit, and you can backup what you say if needed. There is nothing more damaging to a company, or person, then bad word of mouth.

Something else to remember. If it is a private party you have a problem with, DO NOT post their address and phone number. Just say that it is available on request. Then exchange info via PM if needed. If it is a business who has their info published publicly, then that is a different story.

On ebay I bought my clear corners and bumper lenses from a guy named "autobacs" They were two seprate auctions and he refused to ship them in the same box to help me out. Ended up being like $60 (30 parts 30 shipping) After looking through his feedback, it pretty much speaks for its self, he has FAT negatives. The guy was from somewhere in southern cail, so it isnt like he had to ship the shit very far. A lot of his negative feedback contains other horror stories about people never getting their stuff, or the stuff not fitting, or the auction mistated the condition of the stuff. My advice is to stay away from this guy.

One last note, it took him 2 1/2 weeks to ship my clears

Asylums.com is the worst business for imports. The only reason I ever went through them is because they were th only ones who sold a buddy club kit for my 91. A good Christmas present for myself I thought. So I place an order on their page. Then I never hear back from them and they dont answer their phones or check their voice mail. Finally then recieved a call and I waited and waited called them and no answer. Most kits ship in two weeks the site said. My order was placed around the first of December and did not get to me until March. Then all the pieces were filled with a lot of bondo. And to make things worse it was the wrong kit. The shop had to modify it heavily to get it to fit and it had no license plate spot either. So unfortunatly Asylums lost my respect and from word around the net a lot of other people have had complications with this business as well. I would not recomend this business to anyone who wants their car to look nice.

On eBay I ordered a set of clear corners, and a set of clear signal lens. Both from the same person. So all is good, he contacts me quickly through email. I send my money ($35.00) and wait a week, then i send him a email asking if he has recieved payment. He responds saying Yes money has been recieved item has been shipped. So i wait like 2 weeks and still have nothing, so i email him again. No responce... I looked on the User feedback on eBay, and it says his account has been cancelled.
This guy had 7 posative feedbacks and 0 Negs. Then his account was just cancelled ????

His User id was (speedlineusa)
watch out for things like this. I never buy anything off of anyone unless they have 12 good feedbacks.

Guy named Brian Moss from an ad on thepartstrader.com. We talked through email and he seemed like an ok guy, I actually waited like 2 weeks from the first email to send the money b/c I was feeling him out. I bought a jdm integra r valve cover and some b series skunk2 cam gears. I sent him a $250 money order on Saturday, May 18. after asking him if he got it the next week, he said no (a week later) and I started to worry. Then he emailed me and said it came finally the 28 (10 days for mail?) and my shipment went out on the 29. Well, I've been patient but now it's time to face reality - my stuff isn't coming. I emailed him and asked for a tracking number a couple weeks ago and got nothing. I wanted to make sure before I accuse people, but it's obvious now.

One email address he uses is: [email protected]

He claims to run a shop called Advanced Imports. He has been sitting on almost $500 of my money since the first week of April. I ordered a front WW bumper from him, as well as an exhaust. He always gave me some bogus answers about how he was busy, or the parts were not ready. When i asked for a refund, he keeps saying he has sent out a money order. Now his story is he wants to refund me via PayPal. Well, his paypal account is locked for some reason. He said it was because someone paid him with a stolen credit card. He has told me the account should be opened back up this weekend. How he knows that, is beyond me. He is good at replying to my emails. He only deleted a few, and ignored me for a few days. Then when he recieved a phone call from me, he started answering them again. I have been sending him two emails a day, since the end of April. Hoepfully something will come my way. I also have filed with the BBB an USPS. Maybe they can nab him too.

Hi,

I was ripped off by one of the users on this site. He goes by the name MyFirst4G and went by the name 88DXAuto on Postboard. He uses the email addresses [email protected] & [email protected]. This person is currently attempting to sell his car using this forum. Anyone who buys his car will receive a car build from stollen parts and accessories.

This person used stollen credit cards to purchase items off of Ebay. Items he has purchased off of Ebay include the Brembo brake rotors currently on his car, several car amps, an X Box, 6 Palm Pilots, and many other items. These items were purchased using stollen credit cards. Many of the items purchased using stollen credit cards were then turned into cash by reselling the items back on Ebay. In all, over 15 Ebay users were ripped off by this person. This person has been charged by the New York Police Dept and will be further charged for many other counts. Mail fraud, ID theft, and grand larceny are just a few of the charges he is up for.

I sold an item to this person which is currently installed upon his vehicle. If you buy from this person, you will be investigated for receiveing stollen property. Do not sell to this person. He uses BillPoint and Paypal for his payments. If a seller is paid via a BillPoint account and the credit card turns out to be stollen, the seller is charged for the amount of the transaction plus processing fees. This is how I lost my money.

I do not believe this person is currently involved in fraudlent activity. The items he purchased off Ebay took place between Nov 2001 and Jan 2002. I, however, warn all of you. Many of you will take offense and call me a liar. I am sure MyFirst4G will as well. I have email correspondence from this user which proves he is a thief. The police know of this person and anyone who wants to investigate can contact the police for more details. I have spend many hours attempting to retrieve my losses. This person went by the name Hybrid88Civic while using Ebay. You can search for this user on Ebay and see the complaints of some of those that were ripped off by him. He has lots of good Ebay feedback as well. That is because it took several months before the credit card holders realized their cards numbers were stollen.

Thanks for reading this long message. I hope you all will take me seriously.

Ok, I have done some research. Hybrid88Civic is no longer a registered user on ebay but I was still able to view some feedback.
Now dont take this as me coming to the defense of MyFirst4G but here is my problem with ironfist's side of the story.
A) He is a newbie with 1 post, I dont think it is right to jump right in and make accusations
B) His profile does not contain a lot of info, therefore he may just be a one time visitor trying to cause a ruckus.

One last note, I do not think it is right that we whore up the thread about scamming by discussing the valadity of claims made by ironfist against myfirst4g. A new thread should be started to discuss this, or ironfist and myfirst4g should talk via PM or E-Mail. I am not going to create this new thread, because I do not want to become involved in this issue any more than I already have (and I have probably already done too much)

Just my $0.02

Hey Ali,

You want me to send you proof? What address do you want me to send it to? Your real address or the one you use to receive the items purchased with stollen credit cards. Be a man and admit you are a theif. Keep in mind Ali, or is your name Antonia O'Hara, you ripped off more than 15 plus people. I have your address, your phone #, your license plate #, I know what your car looks like. I have all the names and addresses of those you ripped off. I am in touch with the police on a weekly basis. I will not hesitate to provide all those that you cheated all the information I have on you. We are 15 plus strong and we will get legal justice. I don't want to see anyone on here be cheated by you. Yep I am a new user here. I don't care about Honda autos at all but I want the money you owe me. Any user who would like the information on Ali, 88DXAuto, Hybrid88Civic, MyFirst4G, just request it and I will send you proof. Ali, I stacks of documentation on you. I will send it to the person who runs this site.

WTF? I think we need some clarification, after all of that, and everything's just peachy-keen now?

I've talked to MyFirst4G for a while now here and on AIM and nothing he has ever seen or did would lead me to believe he was any sort of criminal. If you have hard evidence then prove it if not then don't say he did something if you can't prove he did.

I was screwed out of $1500 by a Ebay user called Typermugen for a Honda B16 engine swap last June or July. His name is Mike McClain and he is out of Monrovia, CA. I sent him a check to pay him, he cashes it, and I get the run-around from him up until November of last year. I no longer hear out of him and I never got my motor. I can't locate his new address anywhere since he had said he moved last August. He has dicked several other people on Ebay, but I can't get much current info about him from those other users since they paid with an online method. If anyone knows of this guy, please let me have whatever info that you may have about it. Thanks for your time and attention.

I was ripped off by Import Trenz! I bought a body kit in june and it took sooo long for it to get here! but when I got it I found that it wasn't the one I wanted! I mean the name of the kit was right I got the mugen rear bumper the combat sides and the blitz front! Not one of the parts were like they were in the picture! they were just the bumper. the mugen rear is supposed to fit right up to thre taillights and it onli goes where the bumper was, same with the front! the sides were pretty much the same but missing one of the air holes. I called them to complain and they said that if I want to return it I have to pay for the shipping as well I have to pay a 20% restocking fee! It says nowhere on their site that they may not be exactly as shown or anything! so now I have to take pictures of it and send it to them and maybe they will refund my money!! 3 months and $700 usd and this is what I have to put up with!

I bought some parts from [email protected] (http://www22.ivenue.com/shmotorsport) and received many of the wrong parts, unlike the ones I ordered. I have been emailing them and calling them for about 3 weeks now with no response at all.

The parts I got were of high quality, and the order was very prompt, I just got the wrong styles of all the parts I ordered.

I dont like to do this but FL people, stay away from Racing Works in the Central Florida area for engine work. They intsalled my friends turbo wrong, drilled a hole in the block and left the metal shaving in the block. Destryoed bearing, crankshaft and rods. He also paind to port and polish the head, guess what? Didn't happen.

I recently bought a CRX from CA and didn't want to drive it all the way to NC because it was mostly a race car w/ no climate control, radio or windshield wipers. So, I paid $850 to get it shipped here to American Auto Shipping. Everything went smoothly at 1st, set up pick up date for Aug. 15th and they charged my credit card. I called on the 15 to see if everthing went OK and they said that they will be picking it up from Aug 23rd-26th now...pissed at 1st, but since it was OK by the seller I bit my tongue. I called on the 26th to check up on them and the car still HAD NOT BEEN PICKED UP, they said they would call the trucking co. and find out why it hadn't been picked up yet....that was the last time I had spoke with any representative from them. I called everyday after that and got an answering service that gave me the runaround and kept me on hold for 20 minutes+, so finally i got fed up and contacted the Better Business Bureau. Turns out the company has had a lot of similiar complaints, and that it would take 3 weeks for them to process mine. I still call the shipping co. almost everyday, except now they don't even have an answering svc. so it rings forever, this might go to court. And all I want is my CAR!!! So, if you are planning on shipping a car DO NOT use American Auto Shipping.:finger:
Thanks

i havent been ripped off (YET!) but i may be, by Mark Gearhart out of temple terrace, fl. anybody got any info on this guy? i paid him for a h22 back at the end of july, i know him from another forum (accordclub.com) and even though the claim is that it takes 4-6 weeks for the motor to come its been 2 months and he says its just now gettin shipped out! i dunno what to think. im not saying that ive been ripped of....but id like to hear from someone else that has orderd motors from accordclub/jdmclub and either recieved there money from him for no motor or recieved an actual motor.

conversations are short and not very trusting between us so im having dificulty believing that my motor is actually on its way with no tracking # or no estimated time of arrival

well, it's taken six years but I finally got taken online... check this out I pay for an item over a week ago to the seller Redlinezone_com on eBay I'm just now getting a tracking number and it's still not showing the item even in transit... this guy is a rip-off. He's got people giving him positive feedback that sound like total bull$hit. "excellent communication" "Fast Shipping" that's exactly the opposite of what he is. It's taking at least a month for items to arrive (I talked with other buyers) which is totally bogus when an item that is clearly stated in his auction as "In Stock" I'm getting a tracking number when I should be getting the item on my doorstep. I could drive and pick it up faster than it's taking me to get him to ship it.

in short.....

DO NOT BUY FROM THAT FRAUD!!!

One continuing theme I keep seeing is people getting ripped off by buying online. My big question is, why don't people support their local shops? Yea, sometimes you may be able to get a little better price online, but is it worth the wait, hassle, and all the b.s. you have to put up with. Plus, by supporting local shops, your scene will have more chances to grow. Yo go to a local shop, and there is someone there you can talk to FACE TO FACE, not through e-mail or long distance calls. You get hands-on rather than high tech. But then again, I don't know what everyone's shops are like across the country. Just my .02 cents.

bob

p.s. - This is one of the big reasons I don't buy online. Because of the growth of the shops in my area, we now have a monthly import drag race at the local track (with CASH payouts) that is sponsered by the shops here in town. You support your shops, and in turn they will support you.
