Yep I did. It peels off but it can be tricky because mine kept breaking and so I would have to start over again. However, there is still like a grayish stripe of glue. Oh well that looks better on my black G20 than that ugle white stripe. I think with some soap and some time you could get that "glue" stripe off after you peeled the whtie stripe off.

:o You can buy the GOO GONE at any hardware store, but remember to wipe the are down with rubing alcohol & then wax the area you just used the goo gone on.
the goo gone will strip the layers of protectants that are on your car so be nible be quick & let the force be your guide young skywalker:D .

Doesn't preheating the stripes get rid of most of the glue?

yeah i took mine off and it looks a lot better. it was a red stripe on blue paint. but DO USE heat, like a hairdryer, to take them off. i didnt and took off some of my clear coat and i had to get my fender repainted. i used goo gone and lighter fuel to get what was left of the glue.
good luck

I am pretty sure they are talking about pin stripes... As i've never seen the side molding come in a color different than the car other than black on the earlier model P10's. FWIW the pin stripes on my 95 peeled off very easily, and didn't leave any residue at all. Maybe the previous owner had them put on? Either way they were cake to take off.
