First thread and first post of the FX45 Forum. What do I win?, j/k can't wait to see this vehicle on the road. I have no plans on purchasing one. Anyone know when the set release date for this puppy is?

Correction, you're thinking of the upcoming Infiniti M45. It will use the Cedric/Gloria body and use the Q45's powerplant (as its name suggests).

The FX45 is based off the XVL chassis, which has supplied the skeleton to numerous current Nissan vehicles (G35/Skyline, 350Z/Fairlady Z, Altima, Stagea). The recent FX45 showcar photos actually represent the second iteration of the FX45 concept. The original was based off the Q45/Cima chassis, and featured a much more off-base, impractical, yet jaw-dropping crossover design of the future. I preferred this sharp and clean-cut design far more than the newer cab-rear bulldog design, but I will still welcome it nonetheless.

For more information about the conceptual mkI and mkII FX45s, see the FX45 comparo thread (http://www.automotiveforums.com/vbulletin/t40760.html).

Below, current FX45 photos (sorry if they become dead links; they are from Nissan News):
