Is there a conversion for the S13 240 SX fastback to the S15 Silvia front end? I know there is one for the S14 240 SX, but what about the S13. Is there one? If there is then will you post any pictures of it that you have? Thanks

ok cool, I thought that I had heard of them before but I had never seen one. I think www.visracing.com sells them I've heard but the link to get to them is down.

is the conversion a bolt on or do you have to take it to the shop to get it done? i was reading in the superstreet magazine a while back about how the oem s15 fender doesn't bolt on to the s13 so the japanese created a fiberglass one so it can bolt on. if that is true, then would the headlight also bolt on?

a company called strawberry face makes fiberglass fenders that bolt on to the S13 and the S14 240SX. then you will need other things like the hood, headlights, S15 front bumper, bumper support, and I've also heard that a new radiator support was necessary, anybody know about that?

I found another site that has the complete conversion kit or just the fenders if you want those. check them out here (http://www.importfan.com/search.asp?7=S15+conversion)

I got the complete offer from ViS Racing:
g-force front bumper, hood, projector headlights, fenders, front spoiler support, radiator support, shipping is approx. $650 to Europe ends up 3850 US$ (about 6000 SFr.). And I could get a decent RPS13 for 2150 US$ (3500 SFr.) with 80k miles (comes with a CA18DET). I got 6800 US$ (11000 SFr.) to spend. So what do you guys (and girls) think about it, shall I do it? or can I get the conversion cheaper?

By the time if got some money again I'll drop it and swap a SR20DET but that's future sound!:D

I was too lazy to make a new thread so I posted in this one as it has a matching title:p
Now what do you think J?

Personally I would rather get the SR swap before getting the S15 front end. I would rather have my car go fast than just look fast. But on the other hand since you already have a turbocharged motor in your S13's then that makes it a little better.

You're right I would do also the swap before the conversion. Actualy I wanted to do both at the same time but I'm on a budget and as a student (you'll probably say take a loan, very expensive here) with no regular job I simply can't afford it. So I decided to do it in two parts. And the conversion comes first as I can get 200hp out of the CA18DET with minor modifications:D which is sufficient for the beginning (Hey it's my first own car ever!) and the swap is expensive 'cause I have to do all the tests to legalize it (smok, noise, performance) which are more then 1000 US$. Besides suspension and brakes I have anyway to upgrade before I put in the beast:devil: Finaly as the nearest tracks I got are anyway in Germany (Hockenheim/Nürburgring:D) I woint be there too much and therefor tune the SR only to +/- 280 stable, reliable hp.

Hey im a newbie, been tryin to read all your posts for the last 5 days. I am looking at a 240sx but cant quite find one cheap unless i buy the old 1989-1994 240sx fastback. So if i bought the older ones i would buy a S15 front clip. I want to convert the headlights and swap the motor. I heard the motor is basically a direct swap. But i need to know for sure. Do i need new ecu, wiring harness, engine mounts etc? Also if i buy the conversion fenders how would i swap the flipup headlights to a S15. The guy im talkin to to do it is not a body guy, he could do the 1995-98 to S15 but hes not sure bout the flipups... any advice in this attempt to be a highschooler with a Silvia S13.5?

I can remeber I liked how the S15 lightning bolt was on Hood and thought a GTR logo would be cool on another Nissan. Damn how much we have learned
