Is there anything on the tranny to tell what kind it is? The sticker is gone from it, and I would like to know what it is. Oh and this is a tranny on my b16 if it makes a difference from b to d.

if its a jdm tranny it should be either a y1, j1, or a s1

thank you captain obvious.

the problem therein lies that the Y1 tranny has different gear ratios than that of the J1/S1, and the Y1 has optional LSD, which the S1/J1 does not. It could also possibly be a JDM YS1, which also has optional LSD.

If the golden sticker is gone, he cant tell what tranny he actually has. Im going through this exact situation right now, and i havent found a serial number or anything remotely related to a transmission code anywhere on the tranny because my sticker is gone as well....
