Your experience(s) with camber kits??

I rode in a teg (couple of months ago) that was lowered 2.5" and had front and rear camber kits.
The problem is, the camber kits were squeeky as hell!!
I would kill if my car squeeked the way this thing did. I can't remember the brand the guy had, but he said the bushings were cheap and that is why it squeeked.
What are your experiences with camber kits?
I am going to use the washer / longer bolts for the rear, but will eventually get a camber kit for the front.

That's why you're supposed to use heaps of industrial grease on the bushings. So they don't squeak :)

Yeah, I took it off. I e-mailed Ingalls about it but they didn't have an explanation for it. They have great e-mail service by the way, but I couldn't live with the squeal.

Ppl you need to lube the bushings of anything that you install on your car. Sway bars, new polyurathane bushings, whatever. They all need to be lubed with heavy duty grease that won't rub off.

how would one go about fixing the problem i would guess i can just remove the camber kit pop the bushings out grease em up and reinstall? if this is true i would appreciate some tips on how to remove the kit as i had it installed and really dont know how to remove it. also how hard is it to remove the bushings, does it require a special tool. thanks.

Depends totaly on the kind of camber kit installed. You need to get your cars manual and learn how to take the suspension apart. And removing the bushings also depends on what kit.

Just ordered the ingalls kit for my '94 civic. I recently installed the Eibach pro kit and KYB AGX shocks.
Hopefully the kit will not be too squeaky. I've had a lot of vehicles with urethane bushings before and had to relubricate them every few years. I've found that standard moly grease tends to work itself out of the bushings. Anti-sieze lube or marine grease tends to stick better.
I'll post some follow-up after I get the ingalls kit installed.
BTW: Right now front camer is -1.8, rear -1.0. I'd looking to get camber range back into the -0.5 range.

The ingalls kit is easy. It's simply two small rotating joints that attach your upper a arm to your chasis.
And yeah, you need heavy grease or it won't last long. Something like the stuff you find lubricating the joints of construction equipment.

i have had an ingalls rubber bushing kit for about 5 months now, without ANY grease, and i have had NO problems with squeaking whatsoever. it's just like OEM.

Congratulations. The grease is a "in-case shit" type of mod. If you don't need it, good for you. If you do, get ready to disassemble.

Hey, the hinges on the door at my house are squeaky, should I just take the door off???
Come on guys, if somethings squeaky, you gotta put some grease or oil on it to stop.

Just finished the old washer method for rear camber correction last evening. Simple as pie. I left the rear camber at -0.6 degrees.

Just installed the 3572 kit and had it aligned this A.M. It's nice having the camber at -0.5 vs -1.8. The steering is much more linear and responsive on the road.
So far no squeaks - I used moly wheel bearing grease.:smoker2:
