I have been thinking about machining myself a custom pair of wheel spacers to prop my wheels
about an inch or so outward, to emphasize my white rims a little, and to give the car an overall wider stance (w/o overdoing it). I am wondering, if I space my wheels a little under the fenderwell, and hit a good bump, do you think my tire might rub the fender?

96 Integra with 16" rims, and lowered 1.25" (If this helps:confused:)

An inch? That's not a very good for a couple reasons. How many turns of the lug nuts is that going to cost you? You'll also increase scrub radius a lot and do some interesting things to the steering geometry.

I guess you could roll your felders a bit for clearence if needed, but I'm not sure how that would turn out looks wise.

Do you realize how much an inch is? One inch = 2.54cm = 25.4mm. If you have a 42mm offset wheel and 16x7" wheels you will definitely rub. You can buy 1mm increment wheel spacers like I had to do. Mine came in 2mm and 3mm and my wheels/tires don't rub.

They usually say you want 5-6 full turns of your lug nuts for it to seat properly or risk shaking the lugs loose on a hard turn.
