Want to use a 1G NT for a build....

I want to buy a 1G NT engine for a build to eventually swap into my 97 GST. Basically i just want the block to start from. They are so much easier to find(not to mention cheaper). BTW i've got Magnus's procedure for the swap right her w/ me. I guess these questions are more for the build and whether or not it'll work. The questions i have are:
1. Can I use the 1G NT block for a turbo application?
2. What is the difference in compression ratios between T & NT?
3. Can I use the 4G64 stroker kit on a turbo app? If so what internals
are needed? Does it affect the oil pan? Will it match the turbo
compression ratio?

That should do it for now...Thanks to any and all who can assist.

The block, crank, and rods from a 2.0 NT are the same as a turbo 2.0. The head is the same as well except for the cams. So to answer yuor questions,

1) yes
2) ~7.8 vs ~9
3) yes, you can use that block for the stroker. You need the 2.4 crank, regular 1g rods (stock or aftermarket), and special pistons (most people use wiesco or ross).

Get the piston in the correct overbore, so wait until the machinist is done with the block and he will tell you what size to get. Only wiesco goes to 60 over. Which incidentally will give you the same bore as the full 2.4 liter motor (2.35 actually). But its best to go with the smallest over bore possible. My block was at 20 over then lost the spark plug. Took it to 40 over and had the last little mishap. So now I'm going to 60. After that the block is done, since there are no pistons available even if you wanted to go bigger than that (the 4g63 is the same casting as the 4g64, so 60 over may sound like a lot but its still stock for the 2.4s)

if you read kevins post he said that the 4g64 is just a 4g63 thats bored out bigger from the factory

i would like to ask about the "oil injectors" inside the block. as far as i know thats the only differense between the 4g63n/t and 4g63t. what is their particular "role" in the hole scenario. can we use the n/t short block for our cars for real?

4g64 is SOHC wheras the 4g63 is DOHC

thats just in the cylinder head... the blocks are the same except for the Bore!

The deck is also 6mm taller on the 64 to accomodate the extra 12mm stroke. But they are still the same casting. The 4g63 is just milled 6mm more at the factory. You may have a valid point about the squirters, but I dont believe any 4g64 block has them, and most poeple consider them a liability. When people want them, they have the machine shop install them.

i have a 4G64 bare block and crank on the way, what size pistons and rods will i need? do i need to have it machined, or can i get it sleeved? also does this casting have a 6/7 bolt differences (i.e the oil fittings inside the block) like the 4G63? I have tried emailing the guys @ magnus motorsports to see if they can school me a little, but they havent gotten back to me yet. or does anybody know who i else i can contact with questions like this? thanks.

Piston size will depend on the overbore. So a .020 over bore requires .020 over pistons. No sleeving on our blocks, they're solid castings. 4g64 has 6 bolt and 7 bolt versions just like our motors. I heard though that 6 bolts are excedingly rare, and msot poeple use the hyundia 4gcs or something along those lines. Rods are the same as 4g63 rods, so use those or aftermarket rods for the 4g63. I doubt marco will answer any of your questions unless he thinks magnus is going to get an order out of it. There is a bunch of info on Tuners/Talk.
