Hi Everyone,

Need Help with my Headlights. They have started to fog up and I think I need to reseal them.
Does any one have any idea on how to reseal my civic headlights?
Thanx....
:help:

hmmmm, I am very interested in this as well, my dad's integra lights on the left side have been fogging up badly with alot of moisture on the inside. I wish I had an answer for you ramo5150, unfortunately I am just looking for the same answer :)

Just take them apart and reseal them with some good sticky silicone and while your resealing them.....use a hair dryer to heat it up better.:p :D

Put the headlights in the oven on warm for about 10 minutes to get the humidity out. Then use windshield sealant to reseal them.

got some clear silicone and then use it around the light housing and warm it w/ a blow dryer or heat gun to ensure a good seal...

after doin so you shouldn't have a foggy headlight anymore..:frog:

Hello, I tried your recommendation, I put it in the oven and it cleared right away, I added clear silicone to the entire edges but now it seems to be worse, any other sugg.

FYI, I have aftermarket lights on my civic.

^^ By worse what do you mean? You need to reseal them right after you take them out of the oven. The oven will heat up the old sealant. After you apply the new silicone use a quick grib vice to hold the headlight together. Leave it alone for a few hours to dry completely ( over night ). Install the light back in the car run the hose over it and you shoudl be fine. You might see it fog up on the first pass of water but thats ok. It should not happen again. (This was my experience when sealing the 2 of mine).

*static* new mod to aisle 3, we got old threads coming back from the dead, over. *static*

I would not stick any lights in the oven unless you plan on ovenbaking the colors off and risking having pink taillights. Stick with a hairdryer, and if you failed th first time try again, you must have slipped up. I drilled a hole in mine and used a hair dryer, then resealed the whole thing. took a while =\

my buddy put his mx6 headlighs in the oven..it worked just fine..but he didnt do it to reseal it..the inside of the lamp was starting to turn yellow...so once u have it apart, it would be a good time to clean the inside..maybe a little C.L.R.
