90-91 Accord Altezza...too little, too late

How long has altezza been out for imports? 5th gen Accords have at least 4 different styles. There are probably more than that. I can't even count them all.
Remember the days when Altezza came out for the 92-93 Accords and us 90-91 Accords were waiting for the day that our turn would be next?
That was a long time ago.
FINALLY.........they are out, altezza for the 90-91 Accord. Can we say, it's about time?
Or, should we say...sorry, but Altezzas are played out and the market has moved on to other things? (such has Jaguar and red/clear lights)
I'm not sure what these companies are thinking of. Why they took so long to make them. And when they finally did make them, didn't they notice that Altezza are played out and not many people like them anymore?
I'm a little disappointed and wish better designs would come out. I waiting for the day that crystal clear red and clear lights would come out because not only is it clean, but it also gives an updated look for an old car.
I'm not saying there is anything wrong with current Altezza out there that some of you have. I'm just wondering why companies are not making new sytles...something other than Altezza lights for us to modify our cars with.
Already, I have found three different types of Altezza for 90-91 Accord. If you notice, they are all the same!!! Why not something different?
Below you will find the "angle eye" style Altezza. Notice the white ring around the lights?

Below are some more pictures. They are just like the ones above, but without the white ring around the lense.

Below you will find altezzas from autodynamic.
Notice the two lines across the lense?
Also notice the three reflextive pieces on the edge as oppose to only one.
In addition also notice the large lense on the corners are a solid circle where as the others have a semi-circle connecting to the large center one.
Also, the reverse lense is flipped.
And lastly, the inner lense has a different reflextive piece around the the reverse light.

Which one of these do you like the best?
So tell me....what do you think about this Altezza Hype??
Getting old or still cool??

I think the altezza is played out even though there are many styles out. You can only rearrange the circles so many ways before it gets old. Its not that the circles are ugly its how complicated they arrange it. Now if it was simple like the Supra lights then it would be cool.
Euro red/clear and S type is in and will be the future...hopefully.:)

Yes...I will agree with you.
If they made a row of simple circles for the lights, that would look very nice and clean.
But even that...don't make the circles so small. Some of them, such as the 92-93 Accords have these small circles in a row. I don't like that all too much.
Big and round...not small, or even oval shaped...then it's nice. :)
what else? any other comments?

I personally like the last ones, although the 2 lines through the lenses are kind of annoying. It would be cool if they came out with the S-type style , but like you said , that wont happen for awhile. So I think that the ones from autodynamic are the best bet.

one thing to remember...is that these aftermarket companies do not have the flexablity as car manufactors do.
the aftermarket companies have to make their lights a direct bolt on and they pretty much have to work with what is already out there.
for example....take a look at the above pictures.
notice the corner lights have the red lense DEEP inside the housing.
where as the center lense are thin and the red lense isn't has deep inside?
It's too bad that it can't be evenly placed where they are both placed evenly inside the houseing.
Little details like that make tail lights attractive.
Car manufactors can work around that since they can redesign whatever they need to.
Unfortunately, aftermarket companies can't do that.

you can probably buy those and paint the lense red to make you own jaguar style lights :)

Yeah, I was thinking they might look better if they were painted with transparent red... if im not mistaken they would look like impala taillights.

Here is a company that makes true street legal tail lamps. They even do checks on the taillamps after it passes the DOT/SAE test. They make sure that its properly sealed so that it will never fog up or have water get inside. I've washed my car with a pressure washer and its true that its leak proof. No fogging or water getting inside. Very impressive. :D

Oops my bad, i though you was hatin on the 3rd gen, then i woulda had to kick your ass. Yeah, i dont like altezzas, they are too...pointless. Every damn car has em. No style at all. I would only get some to paint them all red so then they would be kinda unique.

hey natcc, i like the first set of tails... my friend twizzaut(thats his ph name) just bought the second tails you shown. i like them..but they aonly work well because he painted the car silver. so the chrome backin isnt all that bad to look at. id personally stay away from them if the car isnt black or silver.
