hi guys, let me introduce to you my newest model, the Tamiya Loctite Zexel R34 GT-R Skyline JGTC (what a mouthfull)
I pretty much built the model box stock , but at the last fase, i did some detailing to resemble more like some of the reference pictures I had laying around.
The details are...
Black side mirrors (not red, but both are possible)
Underside details and wood-effect
Drybrushing on mechanical components
Wiring of the interior
Blackwashing on the interior and on the brakes
Detailed the rims , like they should be (red and blue details and highlighted surfaces.
Second antenna added.
And I had some major trouble getting the front lights to look like the real deal, so I put in , instead of the clear plastic a piece of photographical film, darkened to the right shade of gray (thanks Michael ! )
Also, on the sides , you might notice the aluminium wires to hold the boards into place, as is with the real car.
there is still one thing that has to be done... paint some of the bolts on the body , and put a carbon lip on the rear spoiler.
kit went together without any problems whatsoever, and I loved it , and didn't want to make a box-stock model, so a bit details can make this car truly stand out...
Tell me what you think of it, guys!

Thanks all for the great comments!
to sengming; yes, they are
to 835. no, not all the red is decal, the one on the upper part of the vents has to be painted Bright Red, the rest are mostly decals, I did somewhat in the middle of those, I painted a big part of the front in the bright red, and the only red decals, are on the side.
to MR. Happy; Well, I m not going to tear it open just to get a picture of the inside, sorry... it's not that detailed, you know, just added wires, where I thought they would look realistic, by lack of inside reference pictures.
And as for the outside ref. pictures, it's really hard to get reference pictures, but found about 7 (sorry, deleted them all ... after finishing it)
and most from JGTC.net, some found browsing here in the forum, and even one on the side of the box, if you scan it, make it bigger, you see it actually has two antenna's and that it has those alu side-holders.

AMAZING!!!
This car has been on my mind in the past, but by seen yours it has passed to my "must have, buy anywhere, find it and built it" list.
And Now I don't have to search for referance photos of the real car to built it, I'll just ask u to take photos of your car and e-mail me some :iceslolan seriously it's so beautiful and well detailed that if i ever built one yours is the car to compare to.
Congratulations it's such an inspiring work!!!!!!!!

to nervestrikes:
I ve got several stuff going on atm, but the next thing that will hit the daylight, will more then probable be my E-type (which has a thread on its own.)
Then there are (in no real order)
-Lancia Stratos Stradale
-Lotus Elan S3
-Jaguar XK120 Roadster
-Ford Focus WRC '01
-Ferrari Modena
Plus some other stuff...

i'd like to see someone build a JGTC car and make it look like a road car....you know...silver rims....1 colour....no stickers....i reckon that would be cool
