Thought i'd start another project as i still have another week off work to keep me busy while i wait for the Camaro to dry etc.
Tamiya Skyline V-Spec to be painted in yellow for something different.
Got most bits painted and the underneath painted yellow. Still heaps of detail painting to go yet.
Body is sanded and will be primed later on.
Tryed something different for the interior. Its painted in Tamiya TS-4 German Grey which IMO is a very nice shade of grey
Nothing flash to be done with the kit....just box standard to add to my skyline collection.
More updates will follow later on.
This is after 2 coats...needs one more to finsh it off.
http://files.automotiveforums.com/uploads/562934DSCF1689.JPG
This will be the body colour also

Mixing yellow with a very small amount of black with 20 parts thinners.

its very refreshing to see panel lines that aren't just pure black....especially on a light coloured car like that...good job:biggrin:

Yes.
The chassis was molded in grey as the yellow would not cover over it very well as it is a very thin kind of paint and is easy to see darker colours though it.
So it was primed in 3 coats of white first then 4 finish coats of yellow.

Body painted today in Tamiya Chrome Yellow (TS47).
Small amount of orange peel on one of the doors that will have to be sanded out. Painted just wouldn't seem to sit right on the door for some reason. So instead of adding more paint it was just given 3 coats and will be sanded out then polished out

Thanks Steve. Itryed something different as i stuffed up the nice clean line on the front seats. So instead of stripping it all off and starting again, i run my marker pen around the groove between the two colours to clean it up. IMO it turned out OK (SAVED ALOT OF TIME TOO !!!)

dude keep the work up, i still gotta start on my v spec 2 skyline.
Love the interior too, i need to spend more time on the inside of my models, not just black the windows out all the time, lol. You work is an inspiration, and the reason why i keep trying to do better
