FUCKING AYE!!!!!!!!!!!!! quite a step up from a 3rd Gen Accord

Very nice looking indeed Initially I thought it was a Rover Tomcat (When I could only see the spoiler/windshield/windows and roof) and was like wtf????

Cool car, I like blue cars with the taillights red-white... A little suggestion if I may, a new set of wheels & tinted windows (not very expensive and looks good).... or a completed modification but I don't know if you like that (especially your wallet  )

So you lose a B20a and gain a B16a, and I lose a B16a and gain a B20a

yip that sounds fair :comprage1 :thefinger

Now go stick a B18c in it and give that B16a to a 4th genner so it can be put where it belongs :icon16: :icon16:

I do hope you enjoy it as much as I enjoyed my SiR, and I really do hope that Honda America tuned the suspension, it would be a shame to waste that wondeful little engine on a sloppy chassis.

(and Jim, the Rover Tomcat, or 220i is a Roverised Civic coupe, they just added a 2.0L turbo instead of the B or D series engine)

Thanks, all!

Driving it is so familiar and somehow similar to the Accord, just exponentially better. :D Not hard to live with at all....

It may be hard to tell in the pic, at least without comparing it to a stock Si, but mine is a wee bit lowered, and it has a few other handy details throughout. :sunglasse Nothing crazy; it had to pass California's smog check to complete the sale...

If I do anything [further] to it, it'll probably just be a few tie rods and sway bars... Oh, some new tires, too.

Now I have to get some Electron Blue Pearl paint so I can make a model of it. :icon16:

Very nice though

My dad worked for Honda for 10 years, and despite all the rice stigma, they DO make some top quality cars, and great performance engines for everyday

Enjoy the 8k redline :D

Teh Ozzies Mod List 4 J:

-Delete rear wing
-All clear or red/clear tails
-Headlight eyelids/black chrome surrounds
-Lower 2"
-Dark Tinted Windows
-17" Powder Coated White multi-spoke rims
-2.25" Zorst with 3" canon muffler
-K&N Drop In Filter

I tend to get quite excitable whenever I see that truly goddamn sexy colour on any Honda, especially 5th and 6th gen Civics.

I don't know. i tend to think that most coupes with the smooth flowing lines like the Civic get 'interrupted' by wings and things. I really like the clean subtle look.

Dorikin
06-29-2003, 08:34 PM
Dont do the clear tails and you'll look sharp.

Jay!
06-29-2003, 09:42 PM
Thanks Derek, I'll look into those tires.

I'd'a loved to get a fastback S13, but I wanted to get a newer car, so I could bank on no major repairs for a while...

Oz.... :thefinger ... Heh... no offense, but you don't know what's already on the car. ;) Half your list may already be adressed... :p

The car 'came' with an extra set of tails....... made by APC. :apuke: Maybe I'll use them in a 4th of July fireworks display...

Oh well maybe next time mate, but hey save a few pennies up and plop your arse on a plane and come on down. You've always have a place to stay and I am sure I can scare the crap out of you a few times whilest your here.

Jay, I have TONS of good tires to reccomend. Me and my dad are currently in the process of tire shopping and thanks to the 530i's 16" wheels, we can fit an interesting variety of tires.

We're prob. gonna get some expensive ass Bridgestone Potenza S03s, or Michelin Pilots, but those Advans are tempting as hell...

VERY cheap, and, theyre ADVAN, so you know theyre good.

I know you will enjoy the car. My uncle had a Civic for years, and went to buy a new Accord V6, and he had an SiR(thats what theyre called here) loaner, and he almost bought it instead of the V6!

It is a shame you couldnt buy a 240, however you will have maitenece issues and other crap you can get on a Honda.

Even though its FF, a Civic is simply bulletproof.

Oh, and if you want a good exhuast, go Fujitsobo, or get a custom made one :biggrin2: nothing beats the sound of a homemade exhuast

you do not need premium gas for an SI, it says right in the owners manual, octane 86 or better.

use 91+ blah blah

And it says "Preimium Unleaded Fuel Only" behind my fuel door.

If you don't mind me asking, how much did you give for it, honestly?

Oh and, how many miles, options etc does it have???

very nice choice! DOHC VTEC motors run the best with premium gas and synthetic oil, whether its an H22 or a B16. but im pretty sure you dont need any help maintaining your car's health. good luck with it! i love the electric blue paint!

Oh and, how many miles, options etc does it have??? $11k with 36k miles. Only option kbb.com cares about is the spoiler, everything else is std on the Si. Then there are the few 'goodies,' but I also recieved the stock parts they replaced, should I ever need to re-stock-ify the car.

what do you guys think it is worth? A 2000 Si, 17k miles, rear spoiler, in ZIP 46802, private party sale, according to kbb.com: between $12,365 and $14,330.

Nice ride Jay...you should make a model of the old Accord though too :D

Mr recommendations...leave the body nearly stock. With Civic's especially, crazy body mods can quickly get you thrown into the rice category even if you've got the power to back it up. Instead, go with subtleties...deleting the grille badge and adding a hood badge (just a stock one, no lighted or bright yellow crap), maybe black surround headlights, simple medium black tint. The stock wheels look great, but if you do want a change white Volk TE37's would be my choice...look excellent on those.

1. Delete front badge - maybe, but if it goes, it stays gone, nothing on the hood.
2. black surround headlights - highest candidate for appearance mod. (only one, really...)
3. no tint. sorry. :p It already has the UV tint, and I bought a nice sunshade...
4. Even if I did get new wheels, i'd want to keep these alloys, but I have no room ATM...

also... thread moved into Civic forum.
