I agree I don't see what is so wrong with the other forms of drifting......and plenty people that are interested in all forms of drifting not just D1.....
if that forum gets specialised in D1 drifting.....i think the fair thing would be for the rest of us to get another drifting forum....

I think it should just remain a general drifting forum and threads within can specify what type of drifting the question or comment is about. Whether you drift MR, FR, AWD or FF (don't bother flaming me) on dirt, tarmac or gravel I think you've got just as much a right as any so called "D1 Japanese Dorifuto". Similar technique and skill is involved with drifting with any drivetrain layout or on any surface. The fact is a lot of people in that forum do not yet drift. I'd even go as far as to say there's a couple people there who don't even have drivers licenses. These are some of the same people that are "flaming" others. Instead of saying things like "D1 style drifting is the only real drifting" or "FF can't drift" despite the fact that a person may not have ever tried drifting an FF, or at all for that matter, people should be asking questions and making an active effort to better their own skills and knowledge instead of derailing the people that are making an effort.
That's my opinion anyway.
The fact is the internet cannot teach you how to drift. It can only assist you in your goals. The internet is a great place to share techniques and seek help, let's keep it that way.

well since Iketani S13 protests that the initial intent was to have it as a D1 forum i thought it might be a good idea since everyone argues about it all the time.
No one actually seems to use it as a forum for talking about Drift so there isn't exactly a wealth of knowledge in there.

i don't even care any more. post whatever you want. this is what i said in your thread in the "hate in the forum" thread.
"good god almighty.
you have a panda AE86 in your signature, and the Silvia K's symbol in your avatar, and you are the one who suggested that a drifting forum be made. kinda gives off the impression that MAYBE you meant it to be a Japanese-style drifting forum? i'm not against FWD "drifting" stuff being posted in there. the only thing i'm against is people pulling everything that even REMOTLEY pertains to drifting into that forum, such as the thread on dirt-track sprint cars and claiming they were the ultimate drift cars. i mean come on! it may be a general drifting forum, but some of the stuff in there is just TOO general to the point of not even relating to the topic anymore."
so whatever. post whatever the hell you want, cause i just don't care anymore, and i'm debating not even posting here anymore because of the STUPIDITY that's been present from day one, partly because of me, i admit. no-one can get along, and every fucking thread turns into an argument, so it's pointless.

Not every thread. I have a feeling things will settle down and that forum will become a very active one.

Its a joke.
Besides, Im not in the drifting forum anymore, and as far as I know, no one(maybe endlesskev86) is in there. We mainly hang around the 240SX forums

The problem is the front wheel drive drifting arguments. They never end because people are so stubborn. I don't think just abandoning the forum is the correct thing to do. The problem is that people are stuck on believing false information, it's passed onto more people who then also believe it's true and it continues. We need to just settle the front wheel drive drifting once and for all so the false information can stop spreading and so the arguments will end. Then we can actually talk about something productive.
